Sony currently sells the PS5 in the slim body, the CFI-2000 model group, often listed as PS5 Slim. The standard PS5 has an Ultra HD Blu-ray drive and a 1 TB SSD. The Digital Edition has no drive, and its SSD is 825 GB or 1 TB depending on the batch. Both share the same AMD Zen 2 CPU with 8 cores up to 3.5 GHz and a 10.28 TFLOPS RDNA 2 GPU.
The PS5 Pro (CFI-7000 group) is the top model: a 2 TB SSD, a stronger GPU, PSSR upscaling and Wi-Fi 7. There is no disc drive in the box. The PS5 disc drive is sold separately and fits both the Pro and the Digital Edition.
DualSense is the standard PS5 controller with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers; it works with PS5, PlayStation Portal and PC and comes in seven colours. DualSense Edge adds swappable stick modules, two back buttons, adjustable trigger stops and a case, in white only.
PlayStation Portal is an 8″ 1920 × 1080 screen with a controller on each side. It does not run games itself: it streams them from a PS5 over Wi-Fi and needs at least 5 Mbps.
We don’t open every box, since the buyer wants factory packaging. We photograph the label on every box and open a sample only with your consent.
Slim PS5 and Digital Edition units belong to the CFI-2000 group, the Pro to CFI-7000. The last digits indicate the market. The number is on the box and on the console body.
16 GB of GDDR6 plus 2 GB of DDR5, and a 2 TB SSD. The standard PS5 and Digital Edition have 16 GB of GDDR6.
Yes, once: the console must be online the first time the drive is attached to a Pro or Digital Edition. Drives can go in the same batch as the consoles.
